I am on Keyshot 2024.3 Professsional. When trying to import parts or assemblies made in Solidworks, I encounter the following error:
This error shows up regardless of which part or assembly I try to import.
The workaround I found is to import the part to keyshot 2025 beta which has no problem importing, then save the file and open it in 2024.3
What am I doing wrong

I don’t really work with SolidWorks but can it be you’re using a more recent version which ain’t supported in the older KeyShot?
I see the SolidWorks plugin got an update January 25th maybe using that plug you can import directly again to 2024.3

Hmm, I am unaware of recent solidworks files being unsupported by older keyshot version.
Not sure if something changed in 2024.3
I never had this issue like 2 weeks ago and I regularly used to import solid works files to key shot.
Not using the plugin currently. Would prefer not having to use plug in to be honest.
I use Solidworks and tend to save out my models as .STEP files before bringing in to KS especially if they have a longer, more complex feature tree.
It’s a bit of a pain but I do get some weird artifacts sometimes when importing a .SLDPRT
I use a lot of surfacing to create my models and a lot of random surfaces end up in KS even when all bodies are solid and there are no surfaces left, no colours/materials applied when importing as a SW file.
Yes I have had those issues before as well Harry. But more with older versions of Keyshot. In 2023 and 2024 i never faced those issues
